This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information when you visit purerair.io, use the PurerAir app, use a PurerAir sensor, join the Air Explorer community, purchase or pre-order a product, contact us, or interact with our content.
This policy applies to personal information processed under the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.

Environmental readings may not identify you by themselves. However, when associated with your account, device, location or activity, they may constitute personal information.
Optional data-sharing and rewards information
If you voluntarily participate in the PurerAir data-sharing or rewards programme, we may process:

Device and sensor identifiers
Approximate location linked to a reading
Submission time and verification information
Wallet or account identifier
Token-reward history and programme activity
You can decide whether to submit your readings for wider environmental use. Participation is voluntary.
Payment information
Payments and pre-orders may be processed by third-party payment providers. We generally do not receive or store complete card details. We may receive payment status, transaction references, billing details and limited payment information necessary for administration, refunds and customer support.

We do not use environmental readings to provide medical diagnosis or treatment. PurerAir products and services are not medical devices unless expressly stated otherwise.

5. Location information
Some PurerAir features may require location information to associate readings with a place, display local environmental information or support the data-sharing programme.
You can control location permissions through your device settings. If you disable location access, some features may not function fully.
Where possible, we may use approximate or anonymised location rather than precise location. We will not publish your home address or precise private location as part of a public environmental dataset without your permission.

We may share personal information with:

Cloud hosting and database providers
App, software and technical infrastructure providers
Customer-support and communication platforms

We require processors to protect personal information and process it only according to our instructions. We do not sell personal information.
Where you voluntarily submit environmental data for wider use, we may publish or share aggregated, anonymised or otherwise de-identified data. If data could reasonably identify you, we will seek appropriate permission or explain the relevant processing before using it.
7. Tokens and rewards
Participation in the PurerAir rewards programme is optional.
Submitting data may make you eligible for token rewards under the applicable programme rules. Tokens are utility incentives and do not represent equity, debt, guaranteed value or an investment product.
You should not submit personal or sensitive information in environmental readings or public comments. We may retain records of submissions, eligibility, rewards and wallet activity for programme administration, fraud prevention and legal compliance.

14. Children
PurerAir services are intended for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact info@purerair.io so that we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

We do not currently make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing or profiling.
If this changes, we will update this policy and explain the relevant logic, consequences and rights.
16. Third-party websites and services
Our website, app or communications may contain links to third-party websites, services or platforms. Those third parties operate under their own privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content or security of third-party services. You should review their policies before providing personal information.
17. Business transfers
If PurerAir is involved in a merger, acquisition, investment, restructuring, sale of assets or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Any recipient will be required to respect applicable privacy obligations and the protections described in this policy, where legally required.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our services, technology, legal obligations or data practices.
