At PurerAir, responsible leadership is not just a value. It’s a foundation for how we build technology, engage with communities, and shape the emerging landscape of environmental transparency.
Today, we are proud to share that our Co-founder and Non-Executive Chairman, Zhi, has been appointed to the global Advisory Board of Imperial College Business School’s Centre for Responsible Leadership.
This appointment reflects a broader mission we deeply believe in: advancing leadership that is ethical, evidence-based, and capable of navigating the realities of a world defined by climate change, digital disruption, and rapid societal transformation.
A New Era for Responsible Leadership
The Centre for Responsible Leadership at Imperial is dedicated to answering one central question:
What does leadership look like in an era of disruption and change?
To help guide this mission, the Centre has convened a new Advisory Board comprising global leaders from business, academia, and public policy. This Board will play a pivotal role in shaping the Centre’s strategic direction, strengthening its research, and amplifying its impact across sectors.
As Professor Celia Moore, Director of the Centre, explains:
“The challenges facing leaders today are compounded with climate change, digital disruption and social inequality. New age organisations require responsible leadership that relies on evidence-based research to tackle larger social, environmental and technological challenges. Our Advisory Board brings together experienced individuals who will steer us in deepening our research efforts and expand our reach for lasting impact.”
This mission aligns deeply with PurerAir’s own work in decentralized science, environmental data transparency, and public-good technology.
Why This Matters
PurerAir’s vision is to make air quality transparent, trusted, and accessible. It requires leadership that sees beyond products and into systems. Zhi’s appointment reflects several principles that guide our work:
1. Evidence Before Assumptions
In both responsible leadership and environmental science, decisions must be grounded in data, not intuition or opinion. This is why PurerAir’s approach centers on transparent, verifiable air data.
2. Technology With Purpose
We believe technology should solve meaningful problems, not create new ones. The Centre’s emphasis on ethical, purpose-led leadership echoes our commitment to building systems that serve the public good.
3. Cross-Sector Collaboration
Environmental innovation does not happen in isolation. Aligning business, policy, and academia creates the foundation for solutions that scale and endure.
A Role That Builds Bridges
As part of the Advisory Board, Zhi will contribute to shaping research agendas, expanding global partnerships, and ensuring that the Centre’s work addresses the most pressing leadership challenges of our time: including sustainability, social responsibility, and technological governance.
For PurerAir, this is more than an appointment. It’s a recognition of the values we uphold every day: transparency, integrity, and leadership that prioritizes long-term impact over short-term gain.
Looking Ahead
The Centre for Responsible Leadership aims to position Imperial Business School as a global thought leader in responsible decision-making. With the guidance of its Advisory Board, the Centre intends to deepen its influence across:
Public policy
Business practice
Academic research
Leadership education
We are proud to see PurerAir represented in this next chapter, and even more proud that our leadership continues to contribute to shaping the conversations that will define the future of ethical, evidence-based innovation.
This milestone reinforces what we’ve always believed: clean air, transparency, and responsible leadership are deeply interconnected.
